We’re honored to welcome Jean Foschi, one of our Cumberland County Commissioners, as a speaker and community partner. Jean’s path to public service is rooted in her passion for local government and her belief that everyone deserves to be heard.

Before becoming a county commissioner, Jean was already active in our community through nonprofit work, local boards, and volunteer organizations. Her background is in human services and community outreach, and she has long been a strong supporter of programs that help children, families, veterans, and seniors across Cumberland County.

She was elected as a commissioner in 2019 and made history as the first Democrat elected to the board in over three decades. Jean’s focus since day one has been on making local government more transparent and accessible. She believes in collaboration over partisanship and works to make sure county resources reach the people who need them most.

Jean serves on several committees and boards, dealing with everything from human services and public safety to economic development and farmland preservation. No matter the topic, she brings empathy and determination to every decision she makes. She’s especially committed to making sure Cumberland County stays a safe, welcoming, and opportunity-filled place for all.

We’re proud to have Jean Foschi join us. Her dedication to fairness, accountability, and strong community leadership is what makes her such a valuable part of Cumberland County’s present and future
