Are you passionate about community service and have a head for numbers? Our volunteer-run nonprofit organization is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treasurer to join our leadership team.

About Us: We are a community-driven nonprofit focused on preserving artifacts, documents, photographs, maps, mementos, genealogical records and the legacies of people who made East Pennsboro Township their home. Our mission is powered by volunteers and members who believe in giving back and making a difference.

Position: Volunteer Treasurer

Time Commitment: The Treasurer is not a Board Member and sets their own schedule. The Treasurer is assisted by a trained volunteer.

Location: Historical Society of East Pennsboro (Office in Enola with possible remote working)

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain accurate financial records for the organization

· Prepare quarterly financial reports for the board

· Oversees management of bank accounts and deposits/payments

· Coordinate budgeting and financial planning

· Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations

· Work with team to prepare annual reports and filings (e.g., IRS Form 990)

Qualifications:

· Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance

· Familiarity with spreadsheets and accounting software (e.g., Excel)

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· Commitment to transparency and accountability

· Passion for the HSEP’s mission and a collaborative spirit
